Adventure is out there - Engagement Session on the Saluda

Columbia has so much to offer, and we’re proud to call it our home. While on family walks, Josh and I often talk about thing we’d like to do, places we’d like to visit, and locations we’d love to photograph with one of our couples. Well, this is one of those places. It’s been a tough sell getting clients to agree to venture out into freezing river water for romantic photos, but Candace and Michael were up for the challenge. They were such good sports, and after making our way to the river, they hopped right in.

Elizabeth + Andy - 1208 Washington Place

This sweet bride and groom had such a beautiful wedding day. It was a crisp cool December day, and the sunlight made everything warm and happy.

Their ceremony was a First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, SC with a reception at the beautiful 1208 Washington Place. Elizabeth and Andy both had such sweet spirits, and a loving relationship that was such a joy to photograph. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves :)

Kari + Dustin - Engagement Session downtown Charleston, SC

We love any excuse to go to Charleston, but one that involves photography is the best reason to go. We were so excited to work with Kari and Dustin on their Charleston engagement session.

One question we get often when talking through the logistics of a session in the Historic District is if we have a specific place that we shoot. The short answer is no, just because everywhere you look is beautiful. No two Charleston sessions are exactly the same, and part of the fun is exploring with each couple.

Nikki + Austin - Wedding at the South Carolina State Museum

Southern, lace, diamonds, and a white dinner jacket are all perfect cues for just what Nikki and Austin’s day was like. These two sweet people were married at their home church surrounded by family and friends. After getting ready at Pout, some wedding party photos, and a first look with Dad, Nikki and Austin exchanged letters and had a great moment with each other before the ceremony.

We loved capturing their day, and spending time with this fun loving couple!

May the 4th Be With You - Kirby and Alex's Star Wars inspired wedding

Happy May the 4th everyone!

Has this wedding been waiting two years in the wings to be blogged? …..maybe. Is it still awesome? Absolutely.

Kirby and Alex were high school sweet hearts who were married at their actual high school. We had so much fun working with them and their amazing wedding party on their day. After an amazing ceremony with lots of laughs, we had a great time working with this cute couple and their fun wedding party, lightsaber battle and all.

While the lightsabers were amazing, and the whole day so much fun, nothing could ever top the double rainbow that appeared after a sudden downpour. We literally ran out of the reception with Alex and Kirby to grab a few photos before it was gone in a flash.
